Thanks in advance for the help and the documentation.
Brand Spankin New install of Suse 9.3 and Nagios 2.0
I installed the Groundwork rpm and received no error messages.
Following the Groundwork documentation, I am testing the Nagios operation and Guava Framework
nagios > service detail returns the following:
Error: Could not read object configuration data!
checking the Guava Framework I get the following:
Access Forbidden
I'm not seeing anything in the nagios/logs ofr the groundwork/logs
thanks,
N00b

Did you already install Nagios 2.0 before the GroundWork Monitor installation? If so that may be the problem. Nagios 2.0 is installed as part of the GroundWork Monitor rpm installation so you should not have another Nagios installed. The GWM's Nagios is installed under /usr/local/groundwork/nagios. Please let me know if this is not your configuration.
After the rpm install, you should be able to access the Nagios pages through the guava interface. Log in as admin, add the Nagios and Nagios Reports packages, and assign them to a role and user. Note that by default, direct accesss to nagios (via URL http://host/nagios) is disabled. There is a seperate forum note that tells you how to disable this so you can access nagios directly. |
