Hello,
I've installed Groundwork with nagios and everythings working fine. The only problem I'm having is that whenever I "commit", some nagios.cfg options get set to default (namely the performance data part that I use for graphing with nagiosgraph). Other parts of the nagios.cfg are left as they should be like the object files paths'. I've fixed the problem temporarly by making nagios.cfg read-only, but was wondering if I'm doing something wrong that results in the reset of my performance data specificaitons.

Thank you very much

Hi, Thanks for trying GroundWork Monitor. Did you try to edit the nagios.cfg settings in our configuration tool? Log in as admin and select the Configuration tab. Select the Control menu option. On the left nav tree, select Nagios Main Configuration, then select View Edit. The right page should show the current settings, which you can change. I believe the performance configuration options are on the second page.
After you do this, go to the Tools menu tab, then select the Export option. This allows you to see the nagios configuration file settings that the configuration tool will generate. Are the nagios.cfg setting correct there? If so, try to commit and see if the settings are applied properly.
If this is not getting set properly, please let me know if the exported file is correct. Also let me know which specific parameters and I will try to recreate this.

thanks for replying. How can I modify the "service_perfdata_file_processing_command" to equal "process_service_perfdata" under monarch?
the service_oerfdata_file_processing_command field only offers a drag down menu.

thank you very much

You can add any command in our configuration tool.
1. Log in as admin and select Configuration.
2. Select the Commands menu option.
3. You have several options here. You can select New and follow this Wizard to create a command. Or you can copy an existing command, for example the existing process_service_perfdata.
4. For the Type of command, select "other". This type of commands will show in the drop down in the Nagios configuration section.
5. After you create the command, go back to Control, Nagios Main Configuration. You should see your command in the drop down menu.
