I have installed Groundwork Opensource and once i reboot the server i get nagios failing to start since the nagios.cmd isnt deleted on shutdown. How do i correct this? I can manually delete the file out of the directory and reboot and it works ok
im using latest whitebox linux and latest groundwork |

Yupe. Nagios does not restart for system boot up.
You can issue a Code: | /etc/init.d/nagios stop | before doing the . This will kill the lock file. |

ok i understand that stopping nagios then starting will clear the lock file but how do i write into the shutdown process to stop nagios then? instead of having to manually go and stop then start nagios? |
