GroundWork Open Source Solutions

Network management service provider GroundWork Open Source Solutions Inc. of Oakland, Calif., has completed a $3 million first round led by Canaan Partners, which also took two seats on the company's board of directors. GroundWork received seed funding from CapTech Partners LLC. Founded in 2003, GroundWork said it has already signed 17 customers for its information technology infrastructure tools and services, which are based on open source technology.
