Nagios Support

GroundWork Nagios Support includes technical and application engineering support for the Nagios monitoring system version 1.2, and advice and consultation on Nagios deployment and functional extensions. Nagios Support is offered on an annual subscription basis.

Support Services

Nagios System Diagnostic — Remote diagnostic of customers’ Nagios installation and recommendations for improving monitoring results. Recommendations are specific to customers’ configuration and availability requirements and history.

Technical Support — Telephone and email-based technical assistance with Nagios, including remote diagnostics of the Nagios system with appropriate VPN or remote access.

Application Engineering Support — Assistance with, and advice on, implementing new versions of Nagios, configuring Nagios plugins, extending Nagios coverage, integrating multiple Nagios servers, and integrating Nagios with other tools. 

Plugin Search and Certification — Searching for, testing, and certifying Nagios plugins, event handlers and custom report formats. GroundWork will test, certify and document available Nagios plugins, and provide them with application notes and installation instructions. If required for SNMP plugins, GroundWork will “walk the MIB” to determine the appropriate object identifiers for use in the plugin (requires remote access to the device to be monitored). 

Plugin, Event Handler, and Custom Report Development — For a quoted fee, GroundWork will develop, test and certify new Nagios plugins, event handlers and custom reports.  GroundWork typically can deliver these within ten business days after receiving customer’s request.
