Robert Fanini, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Robert Fanini, Co-Founder and CEO, GroundWorkRobert Fanini is Co-Founder and CEO of GroundWork. Fanini brings more than 20 years of operational experience in sales, marketing, business development and management. He has a strong track record of creating and growing successful technology companies, having founded several including Capital Technologies, a systems administration consulting company; Foglight Software, a systems performance management software company; SiteROCK, a provider of remote monitoring and management services; SiteROCK KK, the first remote manage service provider in Japan; and CapTech Partners, LLC., a company formed to provide seed capital as well as consulting to promising technology ventures. In the role of CEO over the last eight years, Fanini has closed over $50 million in private equity and has created over $300 million in company valuations. Fanini also serves on several corporate boards. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. David Lilly, Co-Founder and Chief Operations OfficerDavid Lilly is Co-Founder and COO of GroundWork, bringing more than 30 years of engineering and management experience. Prior to founding GroundWork, Lilly co-founded SiteROCK, a provider of remote monitoring and IT management services, and CapTech Partners, a company formed to provide seed capital and consulting to promising technology ventures. Previously, Lilly co-founded software companies concerned with supply chain optimization, image processing, and industrial automation. Lilly began his career in the United States Navy, where he qualified as Chief Engineer for naval nuclear propulsion plants. He also led two emergency engineering teams at Three Mile Island. Lilly holds an MBA from Rutgers University and a B.S. in International Relations from the United States Naval Academy. Skip Glass, Venture Partner, Canaan PartnersSkip Glass joined Canaan Partners' Menlo Park office in 2003. He currently serves as a Venture Partner, focusing on information technology investments. Glass' background includes 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, early-stage investor and advisor to numerous successful companies. Operational roles have included CEO and President of uRoam (acquired by F5 Networks); COO of Kiva (acquired by Netscape); Vice President of Field Operations at Illustra (acquired by Informix) and Vice President of Marketing at Sybase (IPO). Early in his career he spent ten years with IBM in senior sales and marketing positions. Robin Vasan, MayfieldRobin Vasan's clear understanding of software technology served him well in his early career as an entrepreneur. As a Managing Director in the firm, he is applying these insights primarily to enterprise software, particularly in applications and infrastructure involving security and open source technologies. Robin currently serves on the boards of Centrify, Determina, Elemental Security, Global Logistics Technologies, Groundwork, Informance International, and True Demand, as well as leading the firm's investment in Webroot. Previously he served on the boards of webMethods (WEBM), Aether Systems (AETH) - acquirer of Riverbed Systems and Trigo Technologies which was acquired by IBM. Prior to joining Mayfield in 1999, Robin was a founder and/or key member of several successful software start-ups including CATS Software, Infinity Financial Technology, acquired by SunGard (SDS), and Risk Management Solutions. Robin earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A.S. dual degree in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Stanford University. |
